star-stuck?

Last Friday I recieved the most awesome news (or so I thought so at the time).
It turned out that the tutoring service that I work for needed a tutor that knew Colombian spanish to coach an actor for an upcoming movie ( I can't say the name)...lets just say that Colin F. and Jamie F. are actors in the movie too. Anywhooo...
I was so excited! I mean, I would have to lie if I said that I wasn't a bit star-strucked! Everyone I knew was happy for me, and thought that it was a golden opportunity...but in the midst of it all, I didn't realize what it all really meant.
It turned out that my tutoring service wanted me to lie to get the job. I refused to (I hate lies! Nothing good comes from them!!!!) and still sent a copy of my true resume, and nevertheless, I still got the job...I was so disappointed though. Happy that I got the job, but disillusioned at the state of humanity and how they make such a big deal out of worshipping other people who are no different than you and I.
You see, my employer didn't see anything wrong with lying...nor do a majority of the people out there in this world. It's for "the chance of a lifetime" type of job. "You'll get to meet Colin F- you can't pass this up!" but I sure can!
You see, at the beginning, I was super excited...but now, after last night...it really isn't phasing me! I think that I'd be much more excited if I was going to meet up with someone that really meant the world to me. All this superficiality in the world is really killing me. I want something real instead....something true, that will last.
So while other people would die at the thought of meeting someone Colin F, I would instead die at the thought of being caught up in all that mockery, even though I was, for a few brief hours.
